Summary of team
Our urgent treatment centres (UTCs) treat conditions including minor head, ear or eye problems, broken nose or nose bleeds, sprains, strains, cuts and bites, children's minor injuries and ailments, minor fractures or broken bones, minor skin abscesses and infections and wound infections.
Our team of medical and nursing staff work hard to assess and treat all patients who attend.
Our minor injuries units treat conditions including sprains and strains, suspected broken bones, cuts, grazes or suspected wound infections, minor burns and scalds, minor head injuries (where there has been no loss of consciousness or vomiting), ear and throat infections, insect and animal bites.
These nurse-led units are staffed by highly experienced emergency nurse practitioners. Children under one cannot be seen at these units.
The opening times vary between sites and you should see below for the best and most accurate information for each site. Outside of the opening hours people should contact NHS 111 where trained advisors will refer them to the most appropriate service. NHS 111 is open 24/7. The only exception to this is if they are seriously ill, in which case dial 999.

Your GP, the ambulance service or NHS 111 may direct you to one of our sites, or you may turn up yourself. If you have not been sent by a healthcare professional, you will be assessed on arrival and may be redirected to a more appropriate service or location.
All patients are assessed and triaged depending on the severity of their condition. Patients with the highest clinical need are seen first, rather than time order. If your condition needs to be managed elsewhere, you may be re-directed to a different location.
