We support people over the age of 65 from North Tyneside who have complex mental health needs.
We aim to provide a high-quality local service which is responsive, accessible and effective.
We work with patients and their carers to set meaningful goals. We use a range of assessments to inform our care.
We work closely with the rest of the healthcare team to manage complex mental health needs.
We accept referrals from healthcare professionals in Mental Health Services for Older People.
We have a daily triage process. This means we can prioritise referrals accurately. We then respond in a timely manner.

Nursing home team – supporting patients in residential and nursing care homes in North Tyneside.
Liaison team – supporting patients on other wards at North Tyneside General Hospital
We work with patients with all mental health needs and their symptoms.
We encourage and empower patients, as much as possible, to be partners in their own interventions and recovery.
