Patients are encouraged to wear sensible footwear and day clothes. Relatives should bring in toiletries and should be aware that the patient’s laundry is to be done by them. A hairdresser comes to the ward twice a week- all day on a Monday and on a Wednesday afternoon. There is a small charge for this service. Relatives should let the nursing know if they want to be involved in aspects of the patient’s care such as their personal hygiene or at mealtimes. |
