Your NHS needs you to get involved and help shape its future
People in Northumberland and North Tyneside are being encouraged to become an integral and crucial part of their local NHS and put themselves forward to be a public governor of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The Trust has 23 vacancies for public governors. There are three vacancies in Berwick, three in Blyth Valley, five in Hexham, two in North Shields, three in North West Tyneside, three in Wallsend, three in Wansbeck and one in Whitley Bay.
Public governors play a key role in shaping the future of services in Northumberland and North Tyneside and represent the views of local people.
Alan Richardson, chairman of Northumbria Healthcare, said: “Our public governors play a crucial role in our Trust and are such an integral and important part of our local NHS.
“They help us to continually improve patient care and experience by helping us to decide what our priorities should be and how we should develop our hospital and community services.
“Their strong links with the many communities we serve across Northumberland and North Tyneside means that they are the voice of local people.
