SAS Week 2024 - Dr Sadia Siddiky

My name is Sadia Siddiky and I joined Northumbria Healthcare as a specialty doctor in general surgery in February 2024. I completed my medical education in Bangladesh along with my Fellowship in Surgery (FCPS) under the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons along with the MRCS with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In Bangladesh I worked in a teaching hospital as a registrar in an active surgical department, teaching medical students and conducting board examinations.

My special interest lies in breast surgery, and being part of the breast team at Northumbria is helping me realise my goals. As this is my first job in the NHS, I still have a ways to go, but I am thankful to the great SAS community at Northumbria for supporting me in my journey. I’m looking forward to taking part in SAS activities throughout the trust this week.
