Director of Communications
Ross Wigham joined the Trust’s communications department in April 2020 as deputy director of communications before taking on the role of director in May 2022. He is also the current national chair of the NHS Providers Communications Leads Network.
Prior to that, he was head of communications and marketing at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust, having previously headed up the communications team at several local councils.
He is also an experienced journalist and blogger, having spent a decade in London working for trade publications and later developing content for private sector organisations.
Ross regularly speaks at national conferences and events for bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), Local Government Association, Public Policy Exchange, FirePro and NHS Providers.
