Non-Executive Director
Professor Margaret Rowe is the Dean for the School of Health & Society, University of Salford and Professor for Workforce Development. Prior to becoming a non-executive director at Northumbria, she was a governor, and has also been a governor and non-executive director for the NHS in Greater Manchester.
With more than 25 years of experience in UK Higher Education, 15 years of strategic leadership in the university sector and senior leadership roles in the NHS, Margaret has consistently integrated academic leadership with the external business environment; regionally, nationally and internationally.
Margaret is a board member of the Northwest NHS Regional People Board, Greater Manchester NHS People Board and the Salford Health and Wellbeing Board. She is also a member of the University of Salford Leadership Team.
Margaret was on the national strategic committee for the revalidation of Nurses and Midwives for the NMC and has been part of several developments in nursing education and the standards for nurses for a number of years.
